About Us
Who we are:
A group of friendly motorcyclists who either hold, or aspire to holding a RoSPA (RoADAR) advanced riding certificate. We are afficiliated to RoADAR, and are the motorcyclist group for the Essex and surrounding areas.
What we do:
Meet to enjoy motorcycling and further the aims of RoSPA in making the roads safer. Not to mention, have fun riding our motorcycles!
How we do it:
We have RoSPA Dipolma holders and approved RoSPA tutors within the Group, who offer their advice and guidance to help you improve your riding. You and your tutor would arrange for a series of meetings, at mutually convenient times and places, and you would then spend an hour or two of informal tuition. When you are ready, you will be advised to take the RoSPA test. Alternatively, you can choose just to improve your riding without taking the test.
What's in it for you:
You will become a safer, smoother rider, gain a sense of satisifaction that you are an above average rider, and, maybe, pass on your experience if you feel that you would like to help to train other motorcyclists within the group. If you pass the RoSPA advanced motorcyclists test, you will receive a written assessment of your riding from the examiner, and may, depending on your insurance company, receive a discount on your insurance.
What to do next:
If you would like to join our Group, please download the Membership Application form from the Downloads page, and submit this to the Membership Secretary (address on form), together with your membership fee of £15 which will be valid until 31st December 2010. Upon receipt of this, we will then contact you regarding Tutor allocation.
